SPREYTON trainer Adam Trinder is confident Cameo Kiss can win multiple races in Tasmania following her winning debut in the state at the UBET Racing Centre in Launceston last night in a fillies and mares’ maiden over 1200m.
Cameo Kiss (Boris Thornton) only arrived at Trinder’s stables two weeks ago and came with decent form on provincial tracks.
Punters rallied for the four-year-old mare that showed good early speed and once settled Thornton waited until entering the home straight before calling on her for the big effort.
She burst clear and had enough in reserve to stave off a late finish from Magnacash with Gee Gees Blondie a game third.
“The mare arrived in great order from the Mick Kent stable in Melbourne and the owners sent her hoping to pick up a win or two before making her way back to Mick’s stable,” Trinder said.
“I’ve only had her a short while but she doesn’t seem to be too complicated so provided she can continue to improve I would expect her to keep winning in the lower grades,” he said.
